What is a Reflow oven?
  Reflow ovens:

1. Air convection reflow oven

2. Nitrogen convection reflow oven

3. Curing oven

Reflow is a process where the elevated temperature environment causes the solder to "Reflow" around all component leads to bond the parts to the Printed Circuit Board.

Curing is a process where an adhesive is applied to the PCB and then subjected to an elevated temperature environment to harden the conductive epoxy to create an electric circuit.

Eightech ovens can provide both methods using the same equipment. Eightech has nitrogen ovens for customers needing fine pitch soldering which eliminate part oxidation.

What are the advantages of Eightech Reflow Ovens?

  1. Easy operation

2. Easy Maintenance

3. Continuous operation due to little downtime

4. Competitive pricing

5. Low operating cost

Once data is installed after setting conveyor speed, zone temperature, blower fan speed and width, select a file to start operation and wait 20-30 minutes for settings to take effect, thhen start production. An effective PM schedule includes 20-30 minutes weekly to maintain optimal oven performance.

Eightech ovens were chosen for the Japanese market as the #1 oven for the past 3 years, and has secured a 40% market share. Eightech has many repeat costomers, which is evidence of the performance and quality of the Eightech product line. In most cases, when you experience a problem, it can be resolved by phone, for most equipment malfunctions.

Eightech has built new manufacturing facilities in the Philippines to provide the lowest price and deliver the highest quality product since its opening in 1995. Due to the small number of consumable items and the effective use of factory utilities (electricity and nitrogen), the cost per hour is the lowest for all ovens in its class. The condition is true for both air and nitrogen ovens throughout the Eightech product line.

Eightech's Nitrogen Technology
  1. Low nitrogen consumption

2. Superior nitrogen control system

3. Stable nitrogen environment

Eightech's oven construction and superior nitrogen control system can provide consumption rates at 300-500 SFCH. This consumption rate is 1/3 of any US competitor. The Eightech oven can control any PPM level +/- 10%; ie.for a setting of 500PPM, the working range is 450-550 PPM. Eightech uses a real-time sampling system, to provide acess for immediate nitrogen error condition management. Few US ovens can match or come close to this level of control.

Eightech convection ovens utilize the KISS (Keep It Simple Soldering) method for surfase mount manufacturing. Using the KISS method you will increse the product thu-put and reduce expensive equipment downtime. Eightech is the leader in hot air convection equipment.

Every process can be reduced to 3 essential steps:
     1. Preheating
     2. Stabilization
     3. Reflow

Controlled convection speed delivers perfection for most any component mix.

Using a combination of temperature, conveyor speed, and convection speed, any profile is achievable.

Easy process management, ie. typical profile

     Conveyor - 0.9 meters / minute
     Convection Speed - 35 Hz
     Zone Temperature - PH1, 190; PH2, 150; REF, 230.

KISS produces less product damage due to patented Eightech convection heating system.
